Officially opening their 3rd outlet in Bugis Junction this weekend, Big Fish Small Fish specialises in serving thin battered fried fish.
If you wish, start with sides like XO Shrimps ($8.90), Shishamo ($8.90) and Fish Cake Fritters ($7.90). I recommend that you skip the sides as they were slightly expensive for the portion and tasted mediocre. However, if you do want to give some of them a try, try the fish cakes & the shishamo as they were the better ones.

They serve Fish & Crisps in 4 different types of fish – Dory, Tilapia, Seabass and Salmon. I particularly liked the Salmon one more and I was surprised that even though it was deep-fried, the salmon flesh was still flaky and juicy. It does get a bit heavy after while because everything is fried so I recommend to share this!

What’s so special about this place is that they make their potato crisps from scratch and they are extremely addictive. Wish they sold them in packets because I would love to snack on them at home.
If you’re looking for something less heavy, give the Mushroom Rice with Fish a go and you can choose from the 4 fish choices too. I was really impressed with the rice as it was so tasty and fragrant.

There are Sandwich options available too and the bread has herbs in it that make it really light and yummy too!
Also, they have free flow sauces and I highly recommend you try the Salted Egg Yolk and Cheese sauce. Everything tasted good when dipped into the sauces.
