I just went to Taiwan for the first time and since I was there for 7 days, we decided to visit the beautiful Taichung.

From Taipei HSR Station, we took the HSR to Taichung HSR. Once we were at Taichung HSR, we took a taxi to Hotel 7 Taichung which cost us NT$320. Read how to get to Hotel 7 below from different places at the end of the article.

The lobby had a really nice & clean look, with a huge sitting area in the centre of it all. The check-in process was really easy and fast, and we were even given 2 free Häagen-Dazs mini cups (100ml) vouchers to redeem when we checked out the next day.

We stayed in the Loft Double Room which was 33 square metres and because it was two levelled, the room had a very high ceiling and it felt very spacious. The living room was huge, with a sofa, chairs, and a television. The sofa could even be used as a sofa bed with a surcharge.

At the kitchen area, I was surprised to even find a microwave as it was very helpful in making some food we brought back from the night market hot. There was also a fridge, tea and coffee at the minibar.

The queen-sized bed was huge, and we woke up to a magnificent view of the city in the morning. The curtains could be drawn automatically with a press of a button.

As for the bathroom, it had full amenities like toothbrush, comb, shaver and hairdryer, and even had a bathtub inside.

On the 9th floor, there was a huge common area called the Giant’s Pantry. It was furnished with gym equipments, foosball table, table hockey, soft drinks & coffee here for guests to enjoy.

The outdoor area was also really nice for you to just sit back, relax and enjoy the fresh air in the mornings.

The best part of staying at Hotel 7 is that Fengjia Night Market is just a 5-minute walk away! For dinner, we walked to the night market to eat street food like sweet potato fries, big wrap small sausage, beef cubes, etc.

After resting the night at Hotel 7, wake up to their buffet spread located just across the lobby at level 1.

Some items in their buffet include a salad station, bread station, drinks, sweet potato balls, chicken cheese bread, etc.

They also had mains like noodles, fried rice, and small bites. We got to enjoy our breakfast while people watching as we sat close to the windows.

How to get there:

• From Airport:
  By Taxi: There are multiple taxis stationed outside of Taichung International Airport. The price to go from there to the hotel is around NT$450-550.
  By Bus: Take the number 123 bus(I Bus) and get off at the Daya(大雅) stop and then transfer to the number 228 or 229 bus(Green Transit Bus) and get off at the Han-Hsiang Company (漢翔公司星享道) stop, and Hotel is next to the stop.
• From Taiwan High-Speed Rail:
  The shuttle bus from HSR to hotel is the no. 160, off on station of “僑光科技大學”, then take a short walk around 5 mins to get our hotel. Or you can take taxi it costs about NT$350.
• From Taichung train station:
  Taking the bus NO.5, 25, 33, 35, or 45 and then get off at the Han-Hsiang Company (漢翔公司星享道) stop, and Hotel is next to the stop.
